Very Veggie Legacy
Ten generations, each heir themed to a different vegetable with its own colour, traits, career, aspiration and goals — a colourful rags-to-riches legacy.
Difficulty (1–5 plumbobs): 1 Casual · 2 Moderate · 3 Hard · 4 Brutal · 5 Extreme
📖 The story
lilsimsie's goofier sequel to Not So Berry: ten generations, each themed after a different vegetable, built rags-to-riches from a bare lot and §0 — one generation literally lives in an eggplant costume. It was written as a charity reward when her Twitch community raised over §600,000 for St. Jude.
💝 The goal
Complete ten generations, each heir themed to a different vegetable with its own colour, traits, career, aspiration and goals — starting from nothing on an empty lot.
🎀 Packs required

🏡 Setup
🚀 Getting started
- Create one young adult Broccoli founder, themed in dark green.
- Move them onto any empty lot.
- Clear their funds to §0, then build up rags-to-riches.
⌨️ Cheats to type
testingcheats truemoney 0📋 General rules
- Each generation is themed around its assigned vegetable — dress the Sim and decorate the home to match.
- Start rags-to-riches: §0 on an empty lot, building up from nothing.
- Complete a generation's goals before that heir dies; then choose an heir for the next.
✨ Specific rules
- Each heir takes the assigned traits, career and aspiration for their vegetable.
- Follow each generation's special goals (see the generation ladder).
- The rules are flexible — swap anything for packs you don't own, and a base-game version is provided per generation.
✅ What you can do
- Move to new lots and build new homes between generations (unlike a classic legacy).
- Adjust or swap any rule for the packs you own; use the written base-game version for any generation.
- Lean all the way into the theme — outfits, home, even your Sims' names.
⛔ What you can't do
- The only cheat is the opening money 0 — avoid money and gameplay cheats after that.
- Don't change a generation's assigned vegetable, traits, career or aspiration.
- Don't skip a generation's goals before passing on the heirship.

🎮 If you don't own the packs
A full base-game ruleset is written for every generation (for example, Broccoli maxes the Video Gaming skill plus three base-game artistic skills; Pea reaches §250,000 with maxed Piano, Violin and Guitar). Wherever a generation names a pack, substitute its base-game alternative from lilsimsie's spreadsheet.

💡 Strategy tips
- Lean into the rags-to-riches engine early (gardening, a small business, selling crafts) — the Broccoli founder sets your whole financial foundation.
- Keep a running note of each heir's traits, career and aspiration so you never drift off-theme.
- Don't fear the silliness — the eggplant-costume generation is the most beloved part; commit to it.
💕 Milestones — track your progress

🔥 Want it harder?
- Forbid money cheats entirely, including the opening — earn your way out of §0 the hard way.
- Stay on a single lot for all ten generations, classic-legacy style.
🏆 Scoring
There's no formal score; lilsimsie's stated goal is fun, goofy gameplay. Track completion generation by generation.
🎭 Variations
Play a base-game-only run using the written base-game ruleset for every generation, or a single-lot version for a stricter classic-legacy feel.
Created by lilsimsie (Kayla Sims) in 2025 as a follow-up to Not So Berry (co-written with alwaysimming, 2017). Written as an incentive for her annual Twitch fundraiser after her community raised over §600,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; the eggplant generation was inspired by the Lovestruck costume.
